Though he possesses the ability to whip the audience into a frenzy with his magical voice, singer Kailash Kher still has seems to have his feet firmly on the ground.Describing his experience of sharing the stage with the famed duo, Hariharan and Leslie Lewis, who form the fusion band the Colonial Cousins, Kher said it was a childhood dream come true for him.
“I grew up listening and revering the Colonial Cousins, so it was an absolute honour for me to sing on the same stage as them,” he gushes.
Terming the gathering of musicians at the Isha foundation an assembly of wonderful talent, he said that they had become like a family as the festivities drew to a close.
“I have already worked with Leslie Lewis on Coke studio and toured with him to cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata, so I practically felt like I was part of Colonial Cousins,” he points out.
Terming the concert an overwhelming experience, Kher looks ahead to his fourth album with his band Kailasa.
“Our upcoming album Rangeele was launched by none other than the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, and has been steadily generating more and more view on You Tube,” he says excitedly.
